On Thursday 23 March, the Senior Choir, led by Mrs Jones, took part in the Tonbridge Junior Schools’ Choir competition at Tonbridge Baptist Church and took joint first place! Their repertoire included Refuge by Howard Goodall and Be Our Guest from Beauty and the Beast by Howard Ashman and Alan Manken. While the judges deliberated, the choirs entertained the audience with songs from the recent Young Voices Concert.
The prizes were presented to the winning choirs by the Lions’ President Bob Bartlett and his wife Jan. The Tonbridge Lions awarded them all a certificate and have given a generous donation to the school music fund. It was a wonderful evening and everyone enjoyed themselves.
