SMSC
SMSC stands for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. At Woodlands SMSC is part of our school ethos and is taught across the curriculum and throughout the school day.
Spiritual development: We want the children at Woodlands to be reflective about their own beliefs but also to show interest and respect for the beliefs and faiths of others. The children are encouraged to reflect not only on the choices they make but also to develop the skills to remain calm and focused. They are given opportunities to use their imagination and creativity in their learning.

Social development: Social development shows our children working together effectively, relating well to adults and meeting people in the local community. Children will investigate moral issues, appreciate diverse viewpoints and show respect and tolerance towards others.
